Plantex was formed in 2005 and has since been conducting extensive market research and product testing to prepare for the UK launch of Kato’s top of the line excavators.

Kato are one of the world’s foremost manufacturers of construction equipment, in particular mobile cranes, with an outstanding reputation for quality and reliability. They are very successful at selling excavators, primarily in their own domestic market (Japan) but also in other markets - however generally not, until now, in Europe.

Kato, the last of the Japanese brands to enter the UK market, is on a par with the bigger and better known Japanese manufacturers in terms of quality and durability.

Kato a have wide range of machines approved for European distribution however Plantex are initially going to concentrate on three models: HD512 Mark 111, HD820 LC Mark 111 and HD308us, with a further two reduced swing models to be launched later this year (HD513 MR – 3: which is a 13 ton and HD823 MR – 3: a 22 ton).

These genuine Japanese made excavators are cost effective, reliable machines that are very well made and that can work hard.
